Privacy Policy

1. Overview
onlinetoolhub.dev provides free, browser-based developer tools. We designed the site to be privacy-friendly: there are no user accounts, and the tools process your input locally in your browser wherever possible. This page explains what limited data is processed and why.
2. Tools run in your browser
Tools such as the JSON formatter, Base64 encoder/decoder, JWT decoder, SAML decoder, word counter, password generator, URL encoder/decoder, timestamp converter and crontab generator run entirely in your browser. The data you paste into these tools is never sent to our servers.
3. Tools that call external APIs
Two tools need external services to work: the IP Lookup queries ipapi.co and the DNS Lookup queries hackertarget.com. When you use these tools, the IP address or domain you enter (and your own IP address, as with any web request) is transmitted to those providers. Their own privacy policies apply. We do not store these queries.
4. Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are useful. Analytics is loaded only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will show the banner again. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Local storage
We store your theme preference (light/dark) and your cookie-consent decision in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.
6. Hosting
This site is hosted on Vercel. When you visit, Vercel processes technical data (such as your IP address) in server logs as required to deliver the site. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly service that counts page views with anonymized data only — no cookies are set, no personal data is stored, and visitors are not tracked across sites. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Since we store essentially nothing about you, the most relevant right is withdrawing analytics consent, which you can do at any time as described above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
